It Did Not Begin Like a Brand Story.
SSISKCON did not begin with a polished showroom, investor decks, or a perfect plan. It began in a small workshop, with people who had more conviction than comfort and a material that was harder to work with than the easier alternatives.
The practical choice would have been to follow the market: lighter materials, surface finishes, faster margins, products that looked good long enough to sell. Instead, the company chose solid premium-grade stainless steel and stayed with it. It was slower. It was more demanding. It forced better machining, better finishing, and more discipline.
That stubbornness became the company. From a workshop in India to export orders, a US-registered business, marketplace listings, and a warehouse in New York, the story has never been about appearing established. It has been about earning the right to be specified, one detail at a time.
1999
A small workshop, a difficult material, and a decision to build hardware that would not pretend to be premium.
2005
The first export orders proved that precision made quietly in India could stand inside demanding international projects.
2012
The catalogue expanded beyond a few parts into a focused architectural hardware system: hinges, bolts, handles, and fasteners.
2017
SSISKCON GMH LLC was registered in the United States, turning a workshop-born manufacturer into a globally accountable brand.
2019
Direct online selling began in the USA, taking SSISKCON from trade counters and project supply into the hands of individual buyers.
2022
A US warehouse in Jamaica, New York brought domestic shipping closer to American customers and contractors.
2024
Marketplace reach expanded further, with SSISKCON products serving customers across 30+ countries.
2026
The bespoke programme opened the next chapter: custom hardware built around the needs of a specific door, room, or project.

Still Close to the Work.
Growth did not turn SSISKCON into a faceless catalogue company. The brand is still built close to the product: the weight of the hinge, the finish on the edge, the alignment of the hole, the way a pull handle feels when it meets the hand.
